Boathouse Kayak Rentals

Get a taste of the South Fork River! A scenic experience perfect for beginners and intermediates.

Rent a kayak, canoe or standup paddleboard for a 90-minute paddling experience on the South Fork River. You will launch from The Boathouse and easily paddle upstream for 1 mile until you reach the rocky shoals and then float back.

Cost:

• $25 per kayak, canoe or SUP rental
• $20 per rental for residents of Belmont, Cramerton, Lowell, or McAdenville 
• 10% discount for Catawba Riverkeeper members

Rental Cost Includes:

• Single or tandem sit-on-top kayak
• Canoe or standup paddle board
• Life Vest
• Paddle
• Basic water safety
• Basic paddling instruction on-land

Restrictions: 

• Must be 18 years of age to purchase tickets
• Must be 4 years of age to ride in a tandem kayak, canoe or SUP with an adult
• Must be 8 years of age to ride in a single kayak with an adult in another watercraft
