Learn more about your local waterways with your colleagues through one of our corporate engagement programs! We offer stewardship events, recreational outings, informative presentations, team building activities and unique spaces for meetings and events.

  • Community Engagement and Social Responsibility

    $250

    • In-person or Virtual Lunch-and-Learn Presentation at Your Office  Learn about this region’s water source including recreation opportunities, stewardship programs and what the Riverkeeper is doing to preserve, protect and restore our waterways.  

    $500

    • In-person or Virtual Lunch-and-Learn Presentation at Your Office  Learn about this region’s water source including recreation opportunities, stewardship programs and what the Riverkeeper is doing to preserve, protect and restore our waterways.  
    • Volunteer-led Group Cleanup  Choose your own section of creek or river to cleanup and we’ll provide the supplies while you provide the cleanup power! 

    $1,000 

    • In-person or Virtual Lunch-and-Learn Presentation at Your Office  Learn about this region’s water source including recreation opportunities, stewardship programs and what the Riverkeeper is doing to preserve, protect and restore our waterways.  
    • Riverkeeper Hosted Land/Creek Cleanup October – April: 2-hour event Monday through Friday for up to 25 volunteers. We’ll scout the location, provide the materials, and manage the stewardship event for your volunteer team. 

    $1,500

    • Volunteer-led Group Cleanup Choose your own section of creek or river to cleanup and we'll provide and we'll provide the supplies while you provide the cleanup power!
    • Riverkeeper Hosted Kayak River Cleanup   March - October: 3-hour event Monday through Friday for up to 12-15 volunteers depending on the location. Includes kayak equipment, paddling instruction and cleanup materials.   
  • Employee Engagement

    Guided Walk or Hike 

    Enjoy the outdoors with your colleagues on a leisurely walk on a greenway or trail alongside the water. A Catawba Riverkeeper staff member will share facts about the area’s history and natural environment along with what the mission of the Riverkeeper to preserve, protect and restore our community’s precious water. 


    Year-round: 1 to 1.5-hour outing for up to 20 guests. 

    $20 per person 


    Guided Kayak Trip 

    Get on the water with us! Explore a section of the Catawba-Wateree River Basin with expert kayak guides who will provide paddling instruction and interesting facts about the river and recreation opportunities.  


    March – October: 1 to 3-hour outing for up to 12-15 guests depending on the location 

    $40 per person 

  • Team Building

    In partnership with the North Carolina Outward Bound School, Catawba Riverkeeper offers customized team building programs throughout the year. We can provide an opportunity for your team members to strengthen personal and professional ties with colleagues, get to know one another better, work together as a team and have fun while participating in a series of activities designed to challenge colleagues to work more effectively together. A menu of indoor and outdoor programs are available including recreation activities like kayaking and hiking and social time at one of our three taproom locations in McAdenville and Cramerton, NC.

  • Meeting and Event Space

    Host your meeting or social event at any of our physical locations in Gaston County, NC! We offer indoor and outdoor spaces that can host small to large groups up to 150 guests at one of our unique spaces that include The Boathouse, The River Room and Confluence.     If your volunteer event or recreation outing is near one of our taproom locations, you are welcome to join us before or after for a meal or social!
