Jennings Storie

As Education Manager, Jennings plans and executes educational programs for all ages at Catawba Riverkeeper and Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. Through their partnership, she is able to facilitate positive outdoor experiences with the hope that the students she works with will love and protect the environment around them.

Jennings graduated from Montreat College with a major in Education and a dual minor in Outdoor Education and Environmental Science. Post-graduation, she taught Pre-K and was a member of the Animal Care department at the Schiele Museum in Gastonia. She began her work at Catawba Riverkeeper as a kayak tech and then transitioned into the education department as a summer educator before becoming the Education Manager. This journey has been an incredible opportunity to contribute to positive outdoor learning experiences for all age groups.

Beyond work, Jennings enjoys volunteering with animals, looking for shark’s teeth on the NC coast, and camping with her husband, Sam. She is so excited to have the opportunity to incorporate her love of the outdoors into her career.
